Bangalore-based media tech company, YourStory has raised undisclosed amount in Series A round of funding led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures, T V Mohandas Pai and Ratan Tata.

The company has left the amount of funding undisclosed but according to our sources, it has raised over $3 Mn in this round of funding.

Launched in 2008 by Shradha Sharma, YourStory has published over 20,000 stories of entrepreneurs.

YourStory alongwith its sister platforms, HerStory, SocialStory, YS TV, YS Research and YS Pages have reached 60 Mn engaged readers. The company has hosted over 220 events across YS Meetups, TechSparks, MobileSparks and SheSparks. These events have had a direct impact on over 1.7 Mn people.

The company has announced that it will be launching new product which will allow people to publish original stories in Indian languages. The company in its blogpost said that, it will be working on publishing content in Indian languages starting with Hindi, Telugu, Bangla, Kannada, Tamil and Marathi.
